Implementing the use of MyLab Accounting on an introductory accounting module

The aim of the project is to implement the use of MyLab Accounting on MG1600 – Introduction to Accounting and Financial Management. This module is taken by all L4 undergraduate students at the BBS.

The aim of this study is to collect evidence which can be used to create an inspirational and equitable learning environment for all students regardless of their background, where every one of them is empowered and supported to reach for their full potential, by designing an inclusive School.

Experiences of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) students on degree attainment gap in Brunel Business School

Duration: February 2020 - June 2021

The existence of an awarding gap in degree outcomes between BAME and White students in the UK has attracted attention from stakeholders in higher education. Data for the sector as a whole (2018/19) show that 83.7% of white students undertaking a first degree at a UK higher education institution received a “good honour” of a 2.1 or above – compared to 64.5% of BAME students.
