Overview

Maintenance Welding is a stand-alone course designed to benefit those wishing to develop welding skills as a hobby or to do home/ranch maintenance, etc. Maintenance Welding is not part of the Welding Basic program.

Welding Maintenance courses include:

• WLDG.1015 – Welding Maintenance

Requirements

Applicants must complete the BEFORE they can be admitted into the program and are eligible for registration. If under 18, Minor Consent Form is required and must be completed then uploaded with the application. Students will be required to purchase and bring to each class the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including:

• Safety glasses
• Leather welding gloves,
• Welding helmet - Auto-tint with adjustable shade range 4/9-13 preferred
• Leather boots
• Heavy material pants
• Long sleeve shirt
• Long sleeve jacket
• Respirator
• Hand-held angle grinder
• Chipping hammer
• Welding pliers

Career Options

Upon successful completion, graduates will receive a СʪÃÃÊÓƵ certificate of completion.

Students will have the skills necessary to complete or maintain basic welding projects.

Maintenance Welders wanting to continue their education and further their career may be interested in completing the Welding Basic Program.

Scholarships

Funding assistance through the Workforce Education Grant and СʪÃÃÊÓƵ Foundation Scholarship for Workforce Education may be available for eligible applicants, until funds are depleted. Please visit the Financial Assistance page for applications. This program does not qualify for FAFSA.

Faculty
