Summary
Lei Chai obtained his PhD in Thermal energy and power engineering at Beijing University of Technology in 2012 and then worked as a Lecturer at Chinese Academy of Sciences for 2 years and as a Postdoctoral Researcher Assistant at Queen Mary University of London for 3 years. Lei Chai has published over 60 scientific papers on advanced CO2 power and refrigeration systems, energy storage devices and systems, heat transfer enhancement and novel heat exchangers, hydrogen energy and fuel cell, function materials and applications, etc. Since June 2017, Lei Chai has worked as a Research Fellow at Centre for Sustainable Energy use in Food chains (CSEF), at СʪÃÃÊÓƵ London.

Responsibility
- Undertake research relevant to the projects in the area of thermal systems and energy conversion technologies, for example thermal to electrical power, heat to cooling, energy storage etc., including both experimental and numerical investigations.
