Summary

I am an applied theoretical and empirical microeconomist. My research focuses on labour economics and gender with a particular emphasis on better understanding the under-representation of women in academia, science and innovative sectors. Among other things, my work has examined inequalities in the process of peer review, investigated how common metrics of academic performance disadvantage women and explored the representation of female economists in academic positions and among seminar speakers. I have been a member of the Royal Economic Society Women's Committee since 2020. Before joining Brunel, I was a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Liverpool and a Research Fellow at UCL and LSE.
