Summary
Emily Hunt joined СʪÃÃÊÓƵ London in January 2019 as a Lecturer in Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences (Psychology). Emily completed her PhD at Loughborough University, completing in July 2021. The focus of Emily's PhD was narrative behaviour change and well-being, specifically exploring the power of stories as a means to promote physical activity for people with arthritis. Most recently, Emily's research has focused on utilising digital storytelling as a means to explore experiences of living with multiple long-term conditions and chronic disease.
Qualifications
Emily completed her BSc and MSc at the University of Chichester on the BPS accredited degrees in Sport and Exercise Psychology. She is now a Chartered Psychologist through research with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is Fellow of Advance HE (formerly the HEA).
Responsibility
In addition to teaching and research, Emily is the Divisional Tutor for Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences. Her role entails supporting students throughout their degree, which typically involves sign-posting students to the student support and wellbeing services and the administration of extension requests and extenuating circumstances.
