Collaborative research and innovation with industry

Brunel has a long history of collaborating with non-academic partners to develop solutions to real world problems and impactful projects.

Increasingly research projects are designed and carried out in close collaboration with industry and societal partners. We value these partnerships and produce outcomes that are genuinely useful to our partners through working together closely.

There are a range of ways to work with academics including consultancy research for specific challenges you are working on, partnering for InnovateUK funding or Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and being a core partner on a research project. We provide training to businesses through the RIEm programme and HIVE business skills. There are also opportunities to engage with our students through placement partnerships, mentoring and guest lectures.
