Brunel’s team of Business Development Managers support organisations to access the research support available from Brunel. They can introduce you to the right academic experts to help address the specific innovation needs, challenges or opportunities facing your organisation.

Senior Business Development Manager - Advanced Manufacturing and Materials
Hitesh is responsible for developing collaborations in the area of Advanced Manufacturing and Automotive. This involves engaging and working with academics across СʪÃÃÊÓƵ London to develop partnerships with external stakeholders. Brunel delivers cutting-edge research and innovation through access to unique expertise, facilities and capabilities in advanced materials and manufacturing, and structural integrity. This includes working on predictive numerical modelling, sensors and signal processing across all the aspects of structures and materials research. He looks forward to working with companies to access our capabilities and expertise to address your challenges emerging out of CoVID-19 and other factors.

Business Development Manager - Digital and AI
A computer science graduate, James has spent much of his career in industry in North America and Europe starting out as a programmer then in marketing, sales, and business director roles. This puts him in a strong position to understand business needs. Having more recently worked in the academic sector he is well experienced in aligning those needs with Brunel’s research with a focus on our Digital Futures and Smart-Power-Networks. James is looking for companies where there is a good prospect of attracting collaborative research funding together, where the company has the experience and resources to build a successful project partnership.

Business Development Manager - Healthcare and MedTech
Michael is an experienced health innovation partnership management professional. Currently, he manages R&D and innovation partnerships in Healthcare and Medical Technology in СʪÃÃÊÓƵ London. He also contributes to the commercialisation process in partnership with Brunel research experts and businesses and health care providers and Life Sciences organisations. He works with innovation ecosystem actors to develop collaborative R&D projects and secure joint funding. Michael has managed partnerships in over 30 countries securing funding with: UK Government funding bodies, EU, USAID, World Bank, UN, and other organisations, including as Head of Business Development for a global health consultancy.

Business Development Manager - Creative and Cultural Industries
Bal supports businesses and the third-sector to engage Brunel’s expertise across Arts & Humanities and Digital Design. His expertise in leveraging public funding helps UK businesses to innovate and grow, by developing solutions that address current/future health, societal, productivity, education and environmental challenges. He connects businesses with expertise needed to solve problems by developing new products and services, through the use of digital technology. Bal is passionate about using state-of-the-art facilities at Brunel to advance our understanding of creativity and the digital experience, and the use of games based learning to develop new narrative (storytelling), content and immersive/interactive design.

Business Development Manager - Energy and Clean Tech
Kieran is an experienced Business Development Manager with demonstrated history of working in higher education. His aim is to develop links with key stakeholders in the Sustainability, Energy and CleanTech sectors. He has developed numerous industry/ academia projects; from knowledge exchange activity, consultancy, sponsored PhDs and collaborative R&D through to nationally endorsed degree programmes. His focus has always been on bridging the industry /academia gap, developing collaborations and securing funding, particularly in addressing the need for climate change through R&D in Sustainability, Energy and CleanTech sectors. Most recently, he supported industry engagement for the UKRI funded Interdisciplinary Centre for Circular Metals.
