I gained so many skills whilst at Brunel that will help me for years to come, especially through my placement and my various jobs as a Student Ambassador for the University.

What are you passionate about and why?

I am passionate about using software and computers to help others. I really enjoy the problem solving that comes with Software Engineering to create solutions to real-world problems, especially solutions that help with accessibility for oppressed or minority groups.

What are your plans for the next two years?

I plan to find a graduate job in the Software Development sector.

Why do you enjoy volunteering for Brunel

I find it very rewarding and it’s a great opportunity to meet lots of new people.

How would you say your Brunel experience has helped you to get where you are today?

I gained so many skills whilst at Brunel that will help me for years to come, especially through my placement and my various jobs as a Student Ambassador for the University.

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

I wanted to do a placement and Brunel has some of the best from the Professional Development Centre for finding placements in computer science.

What is your best memory of studying here?

Working as an Ambassador for the STEM and Widening Access teams - running workshops and delivering presentations is not something I ever imagined I would do. It has been incredibly rewarding and I gained so many new skills.

If you could give one piece of advice to current Brunel students, what would that be?

Take every opportunity offered to you, join any clubs or societies, talk to everyone and try to learn as much as possible about everything (not just your area of study). Take advantage of all the resources available to you, but most of all, just enjoy yourself!
