Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel...
My educational and career journey are both epic, as Brunel opened a lot of doors for me. After my degree at Brunel, I gained admission to Imperial College in Control Systems, and in my first job, my manager was also from Brunel.
What does a typical day at work involve for you?
Every day I am involved in working with multiple teams and progress software with suppliers.
What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?
When I joined Bentley, I worked on 3rd Generation of TPMS; I worked on interface, SW, supplier, manufacturing and after sales and was able to deliver the Bentayga TPMS System successfully.
How would you say your Brunel experience has helped you to get where you are today?
Brunel gave me the skill set, knowledge and confidence to step into the professional world.
Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?
Brunel has a long history of well-known engineering courses. I have witnessed this myself as a graduate, that it supported me in every way to progress into the professional world.
What is your best memory of studying here?
My best memory is working on coursework in the Library and doing combined studies with my peers.
If you could give one piece of advice to current Brunel students, what would that be?
I would advise you to build your mind skills as well.
What would be your top tip or key advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey after leaving Brunel?
My advice would be to work on your mind skills, as my meditation skills have given me an edge in my professional work. When the workload is high and you have to work with others to deliver projects on time, your mind and emotions need to build a stable platform. I see engineers suffer because of a lack of these skills, so I do teach professionals how to work on your SELF, which will give you an edge in your life and work.
