Tell us what you like most about your course?

My favourite thing about the Digital Design course is the huge variety of content taught. We got to learn skills ranging from web Design and Development to Digital Experiences and Photography. I feel that I have left the university with a great amount of Digital Media knowledge and the option to progress in a career involving all sorts of Digital Media skills. I have also learnt what I enjoyed doing most and could base my final year project on what interested me.

What made you want to study your Digital Media course at Brunel?

I liked that for the Digital Design course we got to learn both design and development where as some universities tend to specialise in one or the other. Brunel also has a lot of sports facilities and teams which attracted me to this university rather than others. Being close to central London was also a huge bonus.

What is your favourite module and why?

My favourite module was my Final Year Project. For this we had complete freedom to create an artefact of our choice. I decided to build upon my Mobile Design and Development skills and create an IOS application. This involved teaching myself a lot of new skills but also building on the skills I had already learnt in Year 1 & 2. The Degree Show was one of my major university highlights as it was so nice to see everyones finished products and be proud to showcase my work.

What advice would you give to someone who is unsure about studying Digital Media at Brunel?

I think that if they are interested in Digital Media but are unsure about what route to go down then Digital Design is the course for you. You learn a huge spectrum of skills and then as you progress through the course you can choose your favourite modules and interests to study.

How would you describe the campus vibe whilst you studied here?

Campus life at Brunel has been great. There always seems to be a friendly familiar face wherever you go. Being part of two sports teams has been a huge part of my university experience and is something I would thoroughly recommend.
