Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel?

I am a British-Afghan actor and producer known for my first international Afghan movie called Salam London, which was released in November 2020, where I played the lead character in the movie, called Rayhan. I am also the founder and CEO of GoTecNow.com which is an online e-commerce platform. On top of all this I am also a professional Banker at Metro Bank.

What does a typical day at work involve for you?

Photoshoots, commercials, interviews, running GoTecNow and working in the Bank.

What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?

Releasing Salam London on Vimeo and getting amazing feedback from Afghan influencers such as Fardin Faryad, Bashir Hamdard, Ajmal Zahin and many more.

How would you say your Brunel experience has helped you to get where you are today?

СʪÃÃÊÓƵing at Brunel was amazing, I had the best time of my life. I enjoyed it so much that I had to stay for my Masters. The moment I finished my undergraduate degree, I started my Masters at Brunel straight after.

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

I chose to study at Brunel as it was convenient for me and was ranked high for teaching Business and Management. Once I started studying there I enjoyed myself and wanted to continue to Master’s level.

What is your best memory of studying here?

Being part of the Afghan Society and raising funds to build a water pump in Afghanistan.

What would be your top tip or key advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey after leaving Brunel?

Learn, study and practice. Do not give up on something you’re passionate about - where there is a will, there is a way.
