Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel?
It took a year to understand what I truly want in my life, while backpacking around the world, meeting with new people and understanding different cultures which inspired me in many ways. Once I returned to Japan, I luckily received the chance to work for the Japanese sporting goods giant, Mizuno, where I can pursue my ambition of supporting the athletes reach beyond their limit and make a difference in many ways by using my academic knowledge along with global travel learning experience.
Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?
The major reason I chose Brunel is because they have one of the best postgraduate courses in the field of sports sciences in the UK. I learned not only the theoretical part but also enjoyed experiencing the practical side of the various courses which helped me to build my confidence and be ready to face challenges in the practical world.
What is your best memory of studying here?
The time I spent in the university halls of residence was amazing. The flatmates from different parts of the world with multi-cultural foods we enjoyed together were a highlighted memory at Brunel. More specifically, I truly enjoyed the time we spent in the kitchen while talking about family, our countries, and ambitions of our lives. The sharing experience with diversity and inclusion from dinner table to teacup talks is always unforgettable in my student life.
