Tell us about your career journey since you graduated…

I am currently based in the UK. In 2006 I started my academic career as a Research Fellow then Lecturer. In 2008 I was awarded the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, UK. From 2007 I was the Director / Academic Director at Knowledge Well Ltd and Universal Knowledge Academy Ltd; UK. In 2017//2018 I served as a Coaching Observer at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE). I also served as a coach and member of the Advisory Mentoring Panel Personal in The Queen's Young Leaders Programme.

What does a typical day at work involve for you?

I am a goal-oriented person. I tend to set goals for myself or help other to set goals; each day we work towards achieving the best of our goals.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?

In 2017 I was very proud to be nominated by the University of Cambridge and selected as a coach for the Queens Young Leaders winners, then to become a member of the Advisory Mentoring Panel in 2018. To have contributed in the post to make an impact on 522 young winners from across the Commonwealth.

How would you say Brunel helped you to get where you are today?

Brunel gave me the opportunity to shape my international career; I was lucky to work with a world class PhD supervisor, who inspired me to be among the best.

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

Amazing research projects and amazing research supervisors.

What is your best memory of studying here?

I still remember the days of sharing conversations in the kitchen or common meeting room with other students and staff; many from around the world.

If you could give one piece of advice to new students, what would that be?

If you are looking for a top university, a beautiful campus, to meet people from around the world, to experience London and receive quality education, come to Brunel.

What would be your top tip or advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey?

After graduation from Brunel, you will be equipped with knowledge, skills and a network of friends that will help you to shape your future and achieve your career ambitions.
